From the KZN Midlands, it weaves its way between the rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal, finally meeting the Beachwood Mangroves and it’s mouth at the Indian Ocean – this is the uMgeni River.  Home to a variety of birdlife, fish, crab and the famous Dusi Canoe Marathon that attracts thousands of spectators every year, who line the river banks to watch the race.
